Shikakai is scientifically known as Acacia concinna. It is a shrub-like tree that grows in Central India. It is a natural herb obtained from the fruit of the climbing shrub, which is mostly grown in tropical forests of the Indian Subcontinent.
In Ayurveda, this herb is more beneficial to treat all kinds of hair-related problems. It is also used to treat piles, fever, herpes, abdominal distension, jaundice, intestinal worm infections, ascites, etc.
Soap pods are rich in Vitamin A, D, C, E, and K and powerhouse of antioxidant properties. The leaves and the bark of this tree also have some medicinal properties, so it is also used in Ayurveda to treat some health problems.
