Pearl Millet is commonly known as bajra, it is one of the oldest cultivated crops from pre-historic time. This cereal crop is grown in large amounts in India. The botanical name of this crop is Cenchrus americanus which belongs to the Poaceae family. The grains are round, small, and golden yellow in color.
