Marthandam Honey is produced by the Marthandam Beekeepers Co-operative Society, it is recognized by the Village Industries Commission and certified by the board. This society is started in 1937 with 25 members and now there are 1400 members in this society.
The honey is taken from the marthandam forest area, which is 100% organic and supplied all over India. It is seasonal honey, you can get this honey between February to April every year.
Like other forest honey, this honey helps to treat cold, cough, skin problems, boost immunity, prevent LDL levels, and improves energy level in the body. The raw unprocessed honey has a good amount of zinc, iron, magnesium, potassium, calcium, vitamin B2, B3, B5, B6, and C.
