Nochi is also called a Five-leaved chaste tree, Nirgundi. It is an evergreen medicinal deciduous shrub native to India. Now it is also grown in China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and Japan. This shrub is usually grown as fencing for agricultural land and houses.
The leaves are used as an insecticide and biopesticide. The various parts of this herb like leaves, seeds, and roots of this plant are used in Unani, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, and Allopathy medicine.
It is used to treat the problems because of Kapha and Vata imbalance. It is mostly used to treat skin affections, headaches, swelling, wounds, asthma, female and male sexual and reproductive problems.
