Chicory is a perennial herb that belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is popularly known as Kasini Keerai in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the important herbs in the Unani and Ayurvedic medicine system. This herb is a rich source of magnesium, zinc, calcium, manganese, folic acid, iron, and potassium. Also, it is full of Vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin K, and vitamin E.
