Cubeb-Tailed Pepper / Kabab Chini

Cubeb pepper is scientifically known as piper Cubeba that belongs to the Piperaceae family. It is a dried ripe berry. Some other common names of this cubeb pepper is Javanese pepper, West African black pepper, cubeb, Tailed Pepper, False pepper. The cubeb pepper is a perennial, climbing woody shrub that grows up to 18-20 ft in height.

This plant is mostly grown in streams, mangrove forest edges, tracks, forest margins, and moist deciduous in tropical forests. Cubeb pepper is widely used in traditional medicine to treat several health problems like urogenital disease, dysentery, abdominal pain, diarrhea, gonorrhea, asthma, enteritis, and syphilis.
