Cypress vine is botanically known as Ipomoea Quamoclit, it is a flowering plant. This evergreen plant is native to the tropics of the new world. This annual plant is also known as a cardinal creeper, Hummingbird vine, Star glory, Morning Glory, Cardinal vine. This cypress vine plant usually blooms in red color, and rarely in white, pink, and crimson. 

In Ayurveda, this plant is used to treat various ailments and is also considered an important ingredient used in medicines. The plant blooms from August to December in the temperate region of the Southern Hemisphere and from February to June in the temperate region of the Northern Hemisphere.
